Índice de Aridez

El Índice de Aridez especifica cual es la situación hídrica de una región en base a la relación oferta/demanda hídrica. El índice propuesto por las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (UNEP, por sus siglas en inglés) define la aridez mediante la interrelación de la temperatura con las precipitaciones, basándose en el supuesto que con la temperatura aumenta correlativamente la evapotranspiración.
